SkyDynamics has completed the delivery and certification of an OEM Airbus A320 flight simulator for Superior Air at Athens Megara Airport, FCS ready and configured to leverage new EASA legislation for task-to-tool and type-related training.
SkyDynamics delivers OEM A320 FCS ready simulator for Superior Air
SkyDynamics is pleased to announce the successful delivery and certification of an OEM Airbus A320 flight simulator for Superior Air at Athens Megara Airport (LGMG). The device has been installed, commissioned and certified, and is ready for the FSTD Capability Signature (FCS), enabling Superior Air to leverage the latest EASA legislation for task-to-tool and type-related training on the A320 platform.
Meeting new regulatory opportunities
Recent EASA regulatory developments have expanded the scope of training credits available through certified Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs). The A320 simulator delivered to Superior Air is purpose-configured to take full advantage of these changes, supporting:
- Task-to-tool mapping - training tasks are directly aligned to the simulator capabilities defined in the certification basis, ensuring every training hour counts toward regulatory compliance.
- Type-related training credits - the FCS-ready architecture allows approved training organisations to claim type-specific simulator credits under the revised EASA framework, reducing reliance on full flight simulators for certain training segments.
- Legislative agility - the device is designed to accommodate future regulatory amendments without requiring hardware upgrades, protecting Superior Air's investment as the rule landscape evolves.

- OEM A320 configuration - faithful reproduction of the Airbus A320 flight deck, avionics suite, and systems behaviour, sourced to OEM data packages.
- FCS-ready platform - ready for the FSTD Capability Signature (FCS) under the new EASA FSTD rules, with aerodynamic modelling validated against A320 flight-test data, realistic handling qualities and control loading.
- EASA FSTD certification - certified in accordance with CS-FSTD(A) requirements, qualifying the device for approved training and checking credits.
- AeroEBT and AeroBrain integration - seamless connectivity with SkyDynamics' digital training ecosystem for scenario-based EBT delivery, competency analytics, and data-driven syllabus management.
