About SkyDynamics

SkyDynamics is a Greek aviation technology company headquartered in Heraklion, Crete, that grew out of flight-simulation research. Specializing in the development and provision of certified flight simulators and advanced software solutions, SkyDynamics caters to a diverse clientele that includes airlines, flight schools, and various other organizations.

As a renowned provider and researcher in the realm of simulation systems, commercial and general aviation software, SkyDynamics excels in creating maintenance software, embedded systems, and embedded display applications. The company prides itself on forging close-knit relationships with its customers, offering integrated, all-encompassing solutions that synergize a unique blend of devices, software tools, professional development, and advisory services.

SkyDynamics is committed to enhancing the safety of the future through its innovative software. This software plays a pivotal role in aiding clients to mitigate development risks, augment efficiency, and minimize costs in complex projects. The company's dedication to nurturing its talent for innovation is evident in its contributions to setting new benchmarks in Full-Flight-Simulator design. Specialist components from established manufacturers, integrated with a pragmatic approach to engineering, are what let a device meet the standards an authority evaluates it against.

Research remains at the core of SkyDynamics. Our current work focuses on four connected fields:

  • Evidence-Based Training (EBT) and Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA): scenario design, competency frameworks and grading methods that instructors can apply consistently, grounded in ORO.FC.232 and the ICAO pilot competencies.
  • Flight simulators: FNPT II and FSTD design, flight models and QTG validation, so that every device meets the standard an authority evaluates it against.
  • Human factors: how pilots and instructors perform, communicate and make decisions under workload, informing both training design and simulator fidelity.
  • AI technologies in safety- and mission-critical fields: decision support for aviation training, flight operations and other safety- and mission-critical environments, designed so that the AI drafts, checks and correlates while a qualified person always makes the decision.

The aim is practical: pilot training that is more effective and more affordable for airlines, ATOs and training organisations.

A bit of History

A bit of History

Based in the historic city of Heraklion, Crete, Greece, SkyDynamics originated from a groundbreaking research initiative within the Hellenic Mediterranean University. This initiative focused on the advanced study of systems, laying the foundation for what would become a beacon of innovation in the aviation industry.

Recognizing the growing global demand for specialized aviation solutions, the visionary team behind this research established SkyDynamics. The company was born out of a commitment to extend the reach of their pioneering work and to meet the escalating needs of the industry at an international scale.

Since its inception, SkyDynamics has been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of research and development. With a steadfast focus on delivering excellence and exceeding expectations, SkyDynamics has built flight simulation training devices and the training software that runs on them for operators in Europe and beyond.

Our Mission

At SkyDynamics, our mission is to make certifiable training technology affordable for the organisations that actually train pilots. That means devices an authority will qualify, software instructors will use, and prices an ATO can plan around.

This unique approach enables us to empower a wide range of clients, from burgeoning flight schools to established airlines, with the tools they need to excel in an increasingly competitive and technologically driven landscape. By prioritizing both innovation and cost-effectiveness, SkyDynamics is not just a provider of aviation solutions - we are a catalyst for progress and a partner in our clients' success.

What We Believe

We believe aviation training is only as good as the people who design it. That is why SkyDynamics is built by practitioners: the people who write our software, build our simulators and shape our training programmes also fly, instruct and examine in the real world.

Excellence starts with the team

Our team brings together airline captains, type rating instructors and examiners (TRI/TRE), Evidence-Based Training (EBT) and Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) specialists, an aviation human-factors researcher, a psychologist, EASA Part-66 licensed engineers, and software and AI engineers. Every product decision is tested against the question an instructor, an examiner or an authority inspector would ask.

We hold ourselves to our customers' standards

A simulator must be one an authority will qualify. A training scenario must trace back to the regulation and the competency behind it. An AI proposal must remain a proposal until a qualified person accepts it. For us, excellence is not a slogan; it is evidence that stands up on audit day.

We succeed when our customers do

Our work is measured by what happens in our customers' training: pilots who train on what matters, instructors who grade consistently, and programmes that withstand scrutiny. That is the partnership we offer every airline, training organisation and operator we work with.

Quality

Quality

At SkyDynamics, our unwavering commitment to quality is at the forefront of everything we do. We proudly uphold the highest standards of excellence in the industry, ensuring that each of our flight simulators and software products not only meets but surpasses the stringent criteria set by relevant certifications.

Our rigorous quality control processes are designed to guarantee that every product we deliver embodies reliability, precision, and exceptional performance. This dedication to quality ensures that our clients receive only the best, most dependable solutions, reinforcing our reputation in the aviation technology sector.
