Compliance

Accreditations

SkyDynamics FNPT II (FNPT 2) simulators are designed to EASA CS-FSTD(A) and qualified by the competent authority for their operators. AeroEBT EBT and CBTA software is aligned with ICAO Doc 9995, and quality and security practices are aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.

Accreditations & Certifications

SkyDynamics builds to the standards that govern aviation training and simulation: FNPT II (FNPT 2) devices designed to EASA CS-FSTD(A) and qualified by the competent authority for the operators that run them, EBT and CBTA software aligned with ICAO Doc 9995 and Doc 9868, and quality and information security practices aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.

Every product we deliver, from FNPT II flight simulators to the AeroBrain AI platform, is developed, tested and maintained under quality management practices aligned with EASA, ICAO and ISO requirements. Where a qualification or certificate applies, it is issued by the relevant authority or body to a specific device or organisation, and we will share its details on request. SkyDynamics is not affiliated with any authority; see our Legal Disclaimer.

EASA standards and FSTD qualification

Designed to EASA CS-FSTD(A), qualified by the competent authority

SkyDynamics designs, manufactures and commissions Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs) to the EASA Certification Specifications for Aeroplane Flight Simulation Training Devices, CS-FSTD(A). Under EU law, an FSTD is qualified by the competent authority for a specific device and its FSTD operator, at the level and scope shown on its qualification certificate. SkyDynamics prepares the device and the evidence and supports the operator through that evaluation; the qualification decision belongs to the authority.

FNPT II (FNPT 2) qualification

Our FNPT II (Flight Navigation and Procedures Trainer) devices are built to meet the CS-FSTD(A) requirements for that level, so that operators can use them for credit towards flight training and checking once qualified. SkyDynamics FNPT II devices have been qualified to CS-FSTD(A) for the operators that run them, including the A320 device delivered to Superior Air at Athens Megara in July 2025. For any specific device, ask us for its qualification certificate: the issuing authority, the operator, the level and the scope.

Our FNPT II devices are available in configurations representing:

  • SEP IR - Cessna 172-SP/NX, Piper PA-28, Diamond DA20/DA40.
  • MEP IR - Piper PA-34 Seneca, Diamond DA42, Diamond DA62.
  • Turboprop - King Air 350, Dash 8 Q400, ATR 72-600.
  • Jet Medium - Airbus A320 CEO/NEO, Boeing 737 MAX/800, Airbus A220.

Aircraft names identify the type or class a configuration represents; see our Legal Disclaimer.

QTG evidence and validation data

Our in-house QTG tool runs the automated Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests and builds the report for each device, and our QTG analyser checks every result against its validation data and tolerances before the evaluation. FCS++ keeps each device's qualification, documents, QTG evidence and FSTD Capability Signature together for the operator.

Recurrent evaluation

Qualified devices remain subject to recurrent evaluation by the competent authority. Under the support agreement, SkyDynamics helps operators keep devices ready for it, with documented configuration control, preventive maintenance and periodic QTG runs.

ICAO Alignment

International Civil Aviation Organization

SkyDynamics products and processes are aligned with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). Our ICAO alignment is not merely declarative - it is embedded in our product architecture, training methodology, and quality management system.

CBTA & EBT Frameworks

Our AeroEBT platform is designed in full alignment with ICAO Doc 9868 (Procedures for Air Navigation Services - Training) and ICAO Doc 9995 (Manual of Evidence-based Training). The platform implements:

  • ICAO's 9 core competencies as the assessment framework.
  • Behavioural indicator grading aligned with ICAO Doc 9995 Appendix definitions.
  • Scenario design methodology following ICAO's evidence-based training principles.
  • Data-driven curriculum development based on operational evidence.

MPL Programme Standards

Our MPL Programme design follows ICAO Annex 1 (Personnel Licensing) and Doc 9868 requirements for Multi-Crew Pilot Licence training. The programme structure, competency milestones, and assessment criteria are designed to meet or exceed ICAO standards while satisfying national authority specific requirements.

AI & Automation Governance

As AI enters the operational cockpit, SkyDynamics ensures that all AeroBrain products align with emerging ICAO guidance on AI in aviation. Our approach to AI safety, explainability, and human-authority preservation is informed by ICAO's work on automation and human performance.

ISO & Quality Certifications

International Standards Organisation

SkyDynamics' quality management and information security practices are aligned with ISO international standards, ensuring systematic process governance and continuous improvement.

ISO 9001 - Quality Management System

Our quality management system is aligned with ISO 9001 requirements, providing a framework for:

  • Process governance - documented procedures for design, development, production, and delivery of aviation products.
  • Continuous improvement - systematic monitoring, measurement, and improvement of product and process quality.
  • Customer satisfaction - structured feedback and corrective action processes to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Documented evidence - full traceability from requirements through design, testing, and delivery - critical for aviation certification evidence packages.

ISO 27001 - Information Security Management

Our information security management system is aligned with ISO 27001, providing a systematic approach to managing sensitive aviation data:

  • Risk-based security controls - identified and mitigated information security risks across all data processing activities.
  • Aviation data protection - specific controls for flight data, crew records, training assessments, and operational intelligence.
  • Part-IS alignment - our ISO 27001 alignment supports EASA Part-IS compliance for our Data hosting and PartIS consulting services.
  • Incident management - documented procedures for security incident detection, reporting, and response.

Continuous Audit & Improvement

All SkyDynamics quality and security processes are subject to regular internal audits and management reviews. Audit findings drive corrective and preventive actions, ensuring our management systems remain effective and continuously improve.

Regulatory Compliance Framework

A Culture of Compliance

At SkyDynamics, regulatory compliance is not a checkbox exercise - it is embedded in our organisational culture, product development lifecycle, and quality management system. Our compliance framework ensures that every product meets or exceeds the requirements of the jurisdictions in which it operates.

Product Compliance by Design

Every SkyDynamics product is designed with regulatory requirements as first-class constraints:

  • Flight Simulators - designed to CS-FSTD(A) standards from the ground up, with QTG evidence generated continuously throughout development.
  • AeroEBT - scenario design and competency assessment aligned with ICAO Doc 9995 and EASA Alternative Training & Qualification Programme (ATQP) requirements.
  • AeroBrain - AI outputs governed by aviation safety constraints, with full audit trails and source attribution for every recommendation.
  • AeroTechLog - digital technical log designed for compliance with EASA Part-M, Part-145, and Part-CAMO requirements.
  • PartIS - EASA Part-IS compliance tooling and consulting, built by a team that understands the regulation from implementation experience.

Data Sovereignty & Protection

Our Data hosting services are designed for aviation data sovereignty:

  • Geo-redundant hosting with data residency options in the EU and beyond.
  • On-premises deployment for organisations requiring full data sovereignty or air-gapped operations.
  • EASA Part-IS alignment - information security management in accordance with the latest EASA requirements.
  • GDPR compliance - all personal data processing follows EU General Data Protection Regulation requirements.

Defence Compliance

For our Defence products, compliance extends to NATO security standards, national export control regulations, and classified information handling procedures. Our secure development lifecycle ensures defence products meet the stringent assurance requirements of military aviation.
